Tenways CGO600 Pro - ebike test
I'm not used to riding a road bike, but this experience was very pleasant. My biggest take away was how smooth and quiet the ride was.
But I'm going to need some gears for the hills around here.

If you can't fix it, break it and throw it in the trash.......
is it possible to more batteries inside eb3a ? even if i dont close it its ok
Can you mount these bad boys sideways such as you had at the beginning of the video?
Yes. But you have to have it so the glow plug is still on the top, else you'll have a very small fuel leak.
@@DavidMcLuckie awesome! Thank you!
I must admit there was a few things you dont see in the video i should point out if helps anyone -- the company tenways have some fantastic customer service if you have questions and very helpful. when building this bike it had THE BEST set of tools I have ever seen sent with the bike. as a road cyclist (a while ago i should add) this really is a premium bike and i mean on par with my carbon lightwait ultegra roadbike. i am hypersensitive to noise and this was like a gentle opera in my ears. the grips and brakes are just fantastic and even though I just took to the end of the road I was immediatly in love with this. I sure hope it helps me get back out there to lose weight
Destroy it because you have nothing to do, Good stuff ........
Wasn't destroyed though. Still works.
So...how many guys are making this...? WOW
Lack of gears in a country that isn't flat as Norfolk or the Netherlands is going to burn those muscles to ashes, my bike, which shamefully I have abandoned in the shed since 2019, is a "hybrid", so has those skinny road tyres, but has the gearing of a mountian bike (and a back rack like a shopper bike, cos jack-of-all-trades!), and with a little front suspension for those sneaky potholes that plague the nation, no rear suspension so the clackers will be clacking, but it's not an ebike, just a cheapo Argos thing that I liked the look of and, well, 2020 happened and I gave up on myself... :P
That's interesting as that's what I want to do to my fiances bike when it arrives. She doesn't like the full downhill experience as much as me, so is getting a cheap chinese electric bike. I'd like to swap the gears in the cassette for something with a bit more low range hill climbing.
@@DavidMcLuckie Well if inspiration's needed, my bike's a Cross CRX500 (Black with blue bits, don't think they're available new any more, they did a women's version too with stereotypical pink in place of the blue), easy to find pics on google images to see how it's all set up, think it's only a 21 speed though, but I'm sure could be upgraded with a different cassette, it's a neat bike though, could probably kit it out as an ebike with replacing one of the wheels with an appropriate electrified one, but I've not got that sort of cash unless they became more affordable... :)
If you plugged into the house commons then as grounded through the commons
gas burn chamber looks good for future project for heating water using oil.
cutting edge! love it and can't wait as this progresses - many thanks!
Ecoflow Delta Max 2000 looks better inside. All pcb’s are mounted on aluminium chassis
You're funny.. ❤
Leaving the brake lever stop switches off the bike isn't a very good idea.
Ok, but why?
Interesting! The million dollar question (for me) is - how big a temperature difference does it need to operate? Depending on the answer, there are some alternative, possibly better, applications than a self powered heater. One is using water to cool your solar panels (which increases their ifficiency). Could you generate some power from the heat removed? My solar panels heat my hot water when the battery is full. (Then it feeds in to the grid, but I prefer to keep it!) I wonder if it would be viable use the stirling engine to make a thermo-electric battery? Heat up something like sand using excess solar then have the option of using the heat energy directly or convert some to electricity.
merging two piece of metal is damn potential for any ideas ^^ :D makes me want to go welding again :D
0:58 You probably have made upwards of 50,000 android users phone light up here lol

Great presentation David, what's your opinion on automatic power transfer on these devices? Yes/no? again thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for making this video David. Gony gie it a go on my 05 astra estate, back box just fell aff.....ha......ha....
Will the hot side work off exhaust gas heat?? Belting project David, this is what makes you tick 👌
I believe you can
Ok this seems easy enough with the basic tools I have. Trying to make a table with one set of legs at one height and the other 2 legs at another height. It's to go next to a bath where there is a step to get into the bath. This simple table might just do the job without breaking the bank.
Grabbed some dressed pien for the legs and cross beams.. had to go with MDF for the table top as the dressed pine was too expensive in that format. Will see how I go.. measure twice, cut once. LoL
The diesel heater controller with 5 buttons, spanner wrench in upper left corner, does anyone know how to turn alpine mode on and off?
I just bought one of these from Banggood for £36 and super glad I watched this video, great job. I am going to keep the iec socket but wire it to a power supply that I’ll mount inside the case. I can’t believe I got this unit so cheap even with the issues raised.
I saw Banggood were practically giving them away recently.
I vaguely recall hearing something about these things many years ago, but obviously they never caught on, because modern condensing boilers are efficient enough that there's (technically) very little in the way of "waste heat", but it'll be fun to see this thing being torn down to see how to re-use the generator part... :D If only it were another brand though, the name 'Baxi' makes my eye twitch from the annual diverter valve cartridge replacement in our Potterton (sub-brand of theirs) boiler, I hate that thing with a passion!!!
I can't wait for the next video on this thing.
btw, any reciprocating engine Should have a crankshaft and flywheel assembly.! because, doing so results in SMOOTH rotary output motion. a rotary alternator is more efficient than a linear one of similar size.
have fun. the engine is presumably designed to run with the hot side near 1000 c.
Be nice if it can power the 2amp or so draw as the diesel heater runs - interesting!
This is going to be an interesting series, i can’t wait to see it stripped down, good luck!
Matthew Beardmore has one on his channel
Insane price tag. Why would someone buy this thing instead of a regular water heater?
Because it generates electricity from ‘waste’ heat, which appears to be the thrust of the video.
@@dwalsh3469 Sure the tech is cool and I'm looking forward to the other videos but with how much it cost brand new did it even ever pay for itself with that little bit of electricity generation?
@@BitterCynical Probably not, and that's why it failed. The more profitably types of block heat plants use combustion engines, and use the waste heat to heat your house. So you are mainly generating and selling lots of power with heat as a useful byproduct, usually fully paid for by the power you sold, whereas this thing mainly generates heat, using a little bit of that to make power. As a result, it outputs maybe 1kW under full load, minus 200-300W to run the boiler, while a diesel plant could output 5-10kW at the same heat output and equipment cost. Really, the only advantage of a stirling plant is that you don't need to change the oil or flush a plugged DPF, but instead, you're screwed if the helium leaks out, which just so happens to be something helium absolutely loves to do. Also, this single-cylinder design has much more imbalance than an engine with a crankshaft, so while you can hardly hear a modern diesel unit from 2 rooms away, you'll probably hear this thing (which is essentially a jackhammer screwed to your wall) throughout the entire house. So, long story short, these things are very bad at actually making power, and are 90% regular gas boiler, just way more expensive and unreliable, and that's why almost noone bought them. Anyone who was serious about making power and heat at once went with gas or diesel engines, and everyone else was better off with a regular boiler.
Yes, what he said. Not a lot of power for a LOT of money.
VERY much looking forward to this!
I believe this should be able to run open-circuit if its certified in the EU or US (UL or CE). That's usually in the install/users guide or stamped on the electronics assembly. Good luck, hope to see it work.
My Hcalory says it's 5-8 kw and it's the smaller than the big one. With a 22 pump. I measured as you did and got 135mm.
They use the same box.😂
I didn't notice any extra insulation between the cells, a bad sign...
Give it a year and it'll be in the bin like all cheap Chinese bikes, the battery bms will fail and most of the components will brake being made of poor quality metals which is why everything is powder coated.
On the plus side though you can replace almost everything on the bike. Unlike my £5000 German built ebike. With a motor that can't be repaired, or the battery that has parts of the controller in it and when it dies your bike dies.
I just got a stupid idea, the pedal assist sensor is on the crank, what would happen if you was to put it on the wheel?
The crowd of jackasses on the path 🤣
what would have helped a bit , when you went off road unlock the full power of the motor and reduce the tyre psi down to 10psi , although it isnt a mountain bike it would have made it easier on the nutz ! 🤣
I think that still counts as illegal here. As while you are technically off road, you are still on public land.
@@DavidMcLuckie whats that saying ermmm , "Who Dares Wins "😅
You get what you pay for! Once you have ridden a Real mountain bike, all these are garbage! Thanks for the video!😄

Yes you do but also reminds people on the price difference
Dan proof?
I think he'd blow out the shocks.
With that long seat, it reminds me of the old Raleigh Chopper, though even that had an adjustable height seat, and of course having that big ol' nutcracker of a battery pack on the crossbar, that's a scary prospect in the event of a sudden stop... :S
I was holding onto the battery with my thighs. :)
1300 seems kinda high for what you get !
tbh when its 'competing' with the super 73 its very cheap
